Ray Chapin

Ray Chapin is a founding member of the Huron County Community Foundation and the Fund for Huron County and has served as Secretary/Treasurer for more than 8 years. A Norwalk native, Chapin has lived his whole life in Huron County, excepting college and grad school times.

Chapin worked his entire career at The Paul E. Bleile Co./ Lake Erie Construction, from where he retired as Vice President of Operations in 2020, as a full partner in the firm.

Chapin has been married to Marge for over 50 years. Together they have maintained a Donor Advised Fund through Erie County Community Foundation for over 20 years. They have two children and 5 grandchildren.

Chapin received his BS from College of Wooster, and his MBA from The Ohio State University.

Chapin is an active member at First Presbyterian Church Norwalk, where he has been a long time Elder. He has served on several non-profit and construction boards through the years.
